CHOICES

If you chase two rabbits, you will not catch either one.
- Russian Proverb

I am at a crossroads as to what path to take next. The first choice is to live in London for 3 years in order to establish residency, then go to school at University of the Arts London. The purpose of establishing residency is to pay cheaper tuition (not having all the money in the world is frustrating). UAL has a wonderful textiles school and London boasts of fashion forward people and abounds with inspiration. I would not mind living in London for 3 years prior to school in the least.

The other choice is to attend Columbia College in Chicago and finish my undergraduate, then go to London for grad school. By going to Chicago, I would be with my best friends Pete and Hunt, as well as defer loan payments. I am also interested in studying photography, which Columbia has top notch faculty. Since last semester, I have been hearing/seeing the word CHICAGO at least once a day. I believe that nothing is coincidental, and so makes this decision even more difficult.

What if I'm not even supposed to study fashion and textiles? What then is my purpose? I don't believe I can find it in Huntsville, that's for sure. What if I find my calling in Chicago and thus resolves the mystery of hearing/seeing the word CHICAGO everywhere? What if I find it in London? WHAT IF, WHAT IF, WHAT IF.

In short, I need to make a decision and i'm running out of time. Columbia's application deadline is quickly approaching.
