i was delighted to find that columbia college in chicago is working hard to become more sustainable as a campus. they have replaced conventional lightbulbs with CFLs (compact flourescent lamp), which use less energy. they have also installed timers on all thermostats so that heating and AC is only used when a room is in use. all of the new buildings that are being constructed will be LEED certified. click here to find out what else they are doing.
